Back to School Shopping

As a kid, I loved back to school shopping. This consisted of new pens and notebooks and most importantly new clothes! What would I wear on the first day of school? I cannot believe summer is almost over and it is really time to think about getting school supplies and preparing for school. When I came back from my vacation on Tuesday, I walked into the church and noticed multiple tables of school supplies.

The ministry at the Hope Center is just amazing to me. God has placed Jim and Melinda Hollandsworth to begin a ministry at Gwinnett Estates and so many people of Graystone have joined along side them. Hope Center volunteers are working hard to prepare for the Back to School Party on July 31st. For many of these children, the supplies that Graystone gives them for school will be all they receive. The Back to School Party will also consist of a 5K and a Fun Run. Check out the Hope Center for more information on how you can get involved.

I wanted to let you know the supplies that Graystone is collecting so when you are out shopping for your child, you’ll be able to pick a few extra items up:

Crayons 24 count
Colored pencils
Glue
1″ binders (3-ring)
Folders with brads and pockets
Wide ruled notebook paper
Black pens
Red pens
Rulers
Composition notebooks (black & white)
Dry Erase Markers
Scissors
Backpacks                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Pencils

Thanks! Enjoy shopping!
