On the first day God created…

This past weekend was my Fall break for my student teaching so Chris and I were able to get out of town. Thank you so much for all of the volunteers that helped on Sunday! Also, thanks to Angela Valenzuela who led the baptism class for children. I know she did an awesome job! We went to Jekyll Island for a quick little getaway. I’m so thankful we were able to escape and my brain was able to rest!

As I wrote about on Monday, in children’s small group we are walking through the Bible. Where else to start but in Genesis! As I was sitting on a bench at the beach one night, the words of Genesis Chapter 1 just came alive. Wow – I heard the ocean and thought God just perfectly separated the land and sea. He produced all the vegetation that was around us. On the 4th day, God created the stars. I saw a billion stars. I was just blown away with this majestic beauty. On the 5th day God created the creatures of the sea and all the living things. I’m in awe of God’s creation and His design. In addition, on the 6th day God created  Adam and Eve. I believe God desires for us to admire and praise Him for his majestic beauty. Thanks so much for letting us get away! Hope you’re having a great week!
