I hope all the moms had a great Mother’s Day! I enjoyed being with my mom and mother-in-law. I love being with family and appreciate a day that we can stop and say thanks to all the moms that do so much! We had a great day at Graystone too.
Our Preschool Children learned a Bible story from Genesis 1:6-10. I’m so glad God created one of my favorite places, the ocean. The basic truth is God Made Me and the memory verse is: “God created the heavens and earth.” Genesis 1:1 How can you apply this to home: While you are riding in the car this week, play a game of “God made it.” Take turns with your child calling out things you see that God made. This is a simple way you can connect with your child about what they learned on Sunday.
All Stars had a dance competition between grade levels as we continued the Graystone Games. We learned about King David dancing in the streets. King David’s challenge was to totally worship God no matter what anyone else thought. Should we do the same? Teaching a child to worship is critical and yet can have such an impact in their life. Talk with your child about things they can do that brings them closer to God. Singing is just one of many ways we can worship God!
The memory verse is: “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.” Psalm 103:1
Have a great week!
